Review of neuromuscular junction to understand myasthenia gravis

Abstract

|
|
Myasthenia gravis is an autoimmune disorder mainly caused by antibodies to the muscle acetylcholine receptors at the neuromuscular junction. Loss of these receptors leads to a defect in neuromuscular transmission with muscle weakness and fatigue. In this study, to understand of myasthenia gravis, we reviewed about anatomical and physiological view of neuromuscular junction.
